Part of the dominance of the Kindle is the fact that most average users think they have to buy books at Amazon. Only the adventurous go out of their way to learn about sideloading or even the Send to Kindle function and PC app. And they'll keep it that way. <br /><br />If I was a Nook user, I'd be downloading my library from their site, running it through Calibre and either saving it to a stick or uploading it to Dropbox or something so I'd have my books. <br /><br />The two remaining problems for e-books are proprietary isolationism and crappy writing/editing/formatting.
